If whale shark's tour is not enough, in Holbox there are different tours and activities you can do to understand and live better the island, as well as to enjoy more of nature.
We offer tours in kayaks, different types of fishing and the Classic tour, in this tour you will visit the spring water called Yalahau, Bird Island and Passion Island.
We also have kayaks in the hotel, you can use them for free.
If you decide to explore on your own, you can walk or you can go by bicycle along the beach.
Classic Tour
Classic tour is also called Las Tres Islas and icludes:

fresh water spring of Yalahau. This is a place where fresh water was gathered by the ancient Mayans as well as by the people of Isla Holbox, not so long ago. It seems to a Cenote, even if it is deep only few meters.

passion island: little atoll with observatory to admire the lagoon view (especially during ebb tide)

Isla Morena (Birds Island): island with a large variety of birds and flamingos. (It is possible to see the flamingos from June until November)
This tour is about 2 or 3 hours..
Cabo Catoche
After a 45 minutes trip in which you will be able to find dolphins, turtles or stingrays you will arrive to Cabo Catoche, where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet.
The crystal and shallow waters will let you snorkel in the small but lovely reef and watch snappers, barracudas and many different kinds of fishes and corals.
The tour takes about 4 hours.
Be a diver... PADI certification
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe under water?
DSD (Discovery Scuba Diving): With the DSD you will learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. 1 hour in the pool and go to the sea!
Scuba Diver: With this course you become a certified diver in 2 days. This certification allows you to dive around the world, always under the direct supervision of a PADI Dive master. Day 1: Pool session. Day 2: Open Water training dives. Includes: manual, equipment & PADI certification.
Open Water Diver: Review your skills and explore! In 3 days you will get the certification that allows you to dive around the world without a dive-master supervision. Day 1, 2 and 3: Pool and Open Water. Includes: manual, equipment & PADI certification.

Mini-fishing
We arrange angling fishing close to the costs. You can catch groupers, snappers, barracuda, sea trout, king fish, cobia, jack.
Going out price for the boat (about 3 hours): 180 USD.
Fly-fishing
We organize Fly & Spinning Fishing going outs.
You can fish baby and giant tarpons (the giant in high season), jack, barracuda, king fish, snook, jack crevalle, grouper, snapper and sometimes permit and bonefish.
